Greetings To All Masters Squash Players

Please see information below regarding the 2023 Masters Inter – Provincial Tournament which WP is delighted to host this year in Cape Town.

Day 1 Fri 19 May:
Captains meeting at WPCC, Captains Cabin at 17:00
Arrival and Opening Function at WPCC Bowls Clubhouse (18:00 / 18:30)
Day 2 Sat 20 May: Match Day
Day 3 Sun 21 May: Match Day – Pizza Evening at Kelvin Grove (18:00 / 18:30)
Day 4 Mon 22 May: Match Day
Day 5 Tue 23 May: Match Day and Prize Giving Dinner / Final Function at Kelvin Grove (18:00 / 18:30)
Day 6 Wed 24 May: Departure

Venues:

Headquarters will be at the WPCC Sports Complex in Avenue De Mist, Rondebosch.
Social – The opening function is at WPCC Bowls Clubhouse and the closing function is at Kelvin Grove

Friday 19 May: Welcome Function – Cocktail Stand Up. Team photographs will be taken at the opening function.
Sun 21 May: Match Day and Pizza evening at Kelvin Grove
Tuesday 23 May: Final Function – Seated formal prize giving dinner at Kelvin Grove

TOURNAMENT LEVY - R 1450

Organisers have kept the tournament levy per player as low as possible, while ensuring a successful tournament.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE TOURNAMENT LEVY?

Opening function at WPCC on Friday 19 May
Pizza evening at Kelvin Grove on 21 May
Closing function at Kelvin Grove on 23 May
IPT Warm-up shirt

TEAM PAYMENTS
Full payment for each team entered is required and payable by 31 March 2023 by respective provinces. Team entries must be accompanied by payment.

A team with invitational players will not be allowed entry without approval from the SA Masters executive.

SECTIONS
As mandated by SA Masters, players will play in sections according to strength and not based on age.

GOLDEN OLDIES
Margie and Rob Hunt-Kemp will coordinate the Golden Oldies
Men: Over 70 and Women over 65.

Practice courts will be made available as follows:

Fri 19th- Western Province Cricket Club: 14h00 – 16h00
Fri 19th- Varsity Old Boys: 13h30 – 15h30
Fri 19th- Villagers: 09h00 – 14h00

NB: all practice games to be booked through Penny at administrator@wpsquash.co.za.
Sessions on a first-come-first-served basis

Leo Melville and Storr Hunter Awards

These awards will be presented to the winners at the final function. Winners will be announced here. More information about all awards can be found in the tournament handbook.
